(OTC PK: LPTI), a medical technology specialist in high-frequency high resolution ultrasound imaging, announced that it had made sales of its EPISCAN system into the transitional care / rehabilitation and the acute hospital sectors for pressure ulcer prevention and wound assessment. Longport's EPISCAN system has the capability to detect deep tissue injury at the time of a patient's admission to the hospital which helps to determine where a pressure ulcer originates.
